Everything Is Confusing

Hi, we’re back.

I seriously have not been keeping up with this blog the way I should, but you know how life can get stuffed with things?  Relationships?  Money?  You know?  I’m also the kind of person who is marginally overly-attached to people and things and it’s possible that when I start dating someone, no body will spend any time with me for years… because, you know, we’re living together in a bubble.

And that kind of thing is not healthy.  I seem to find the people who want to proceed to that kind of relationship, though.

So it’s like, have you ever even forgotten who you were?  Like, you spend so much time with another person that you just decide ok, this is great.  And then the relationship finalizes, and it’s like… what was this person I used to be?

But I digress.  Look, here’s the thing.  Recently I have started to make some money and it’s to the point where I need to learn how to manage better.  I have always been frugal, but there comes a point when you need to look at other options and kind of see what there might be.  But as much time as I spend reading on the internet about the new hottest stocks, I would really rather just let a professional manage it.  Sure, I’ve heard all about this investing strategy and that investing strategy and etc.  I get it, man.  Truly.  Just buy whatever that fund is and never sell.  Yeah, I got it.

But it’s also the kind of thing that is better if I refrain from doing.  Honestly.

There are some funds out there and they say that the majority of these cannot even beat the market.  So why do people pay so much money to them?  Really?  Like hey, you can spend this nonsensical fee to let someone else control your money, and then you might not even do as well as the market or the S&P itself?  No thanks.

So even though these people have their own proprietary programs to manage everything, you’re telling me I can still beat the market just by investing in S&P and leaving it.  Well then, that sounds like the plan.

So what is one to do then?  Why is the stock world so confusing?  Why is everything so confusing?  Why are relationships so confusing on that note?  I just want peace and calmness in my life.  I do not want to worry that whatever stock I buy isn’t doing what it wants to be doing, or that the person I’m in in a relationship with isn’t doing what they want to be doing.  So, that’s this.
